With Learning Comes Appreciation

Great Barrier Reef

HISTORY

In 1992, Paddy Colwell was giving briefings and small lectures on board the vessels that took people to the Great Barrier Reef . Realizing that there was great interest and a thirst for knowledge beyond these fifteen minute segments of information, he decided to set up a presentation on land that could go into greater detail about The Great Barrier Reef. Thus- REEF TEACH was born!

Paddy ran Reef Teach for 14 years before retiring. Digital Diver, an Underwater Photography business took over from Paddy to insure REEF TEACH continued it's great work in educating the public on all aspects of the Great Barrier Reef, and making sure visitors to the area got the most out of there trip.

REEF TEACH is now run by experienced Marine Biologists and Conservationist, Researchers and volunteers. Reef Teach is aimed at educating tourists, divers and anyone interested in this unique eco system. “With learning come appreciation” everyone who visits the GBR should attend the show before their trip.

Our experienced Marine Biologists can inform you of what to look for, where to look and how to minimise your impact when you're on the Great Barrier Reef .
Our Conservationists can explain how you can do your bit to help save our reefs, sharks, fishes and marine life.
All staff are experienced divers and can give you tips on your diving and snorkelling so you will get the most out of your trip to the wondrous Great Barrier Reef .
We also have dedicated underwater photographers available for any enquires you may have on getting that great pic underwater so you will always have that memory of the once in a lifetime experience on the GBR.
