Reef Teach is looking for a qualified marine biologist with good public speaking skills to join us on a casual basis for one or two evenings per weeks

You will need to demonstrate that you have a degree in marine biology / ecology / conservation and be able to deliver our evening shows (working hours are usually 6-9pm, shifts available between Tuesday and Saturday, and occasionally Sundays and Mondays). You must also have a knowledge of the diving and snorkelling industry from Cairns and Port Douglas. Not only do our Biologist have an extensive knowledge of the marine environment but they must have peoples skills, be able to explain different ideas in different ways. and most importantly they must be very lively and entertaining.

Our Director is the only full-time member of staff, but vacancies occasionally arise for casual marine biologists and front desk staff to help out during our evening shows (6-9pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays). For the marine biologist positions, good presentation skills are essential, along with a qualification in marine biology / ecology / conservation and experience of diving the Great Barrier Reef.  Front desk staff will ideally have some experience of diving and an interest in underwater photography, as well as good customer service and sales skills.
