This course is for those who would like to learn more about the Great Barrier Reef than can be covered in our nightly 2 hour show. The course is arranged on request and can be held on a day that suits your schedule (subject to our existing commitments), however we require a minimum of 10 people to run the course.
It is offered as a half-day program, running for 4 hours in the morning or afternoon, and we can tailor the program to suit your group’s particular interests. Topics covered could include:

- Coral Biology and Ecology
- Fish Identification
- Explanation of Major Invertebrate Groups
- Marine Hazards
- Human Impacts on the Reef (Conservation Issues)
- Threatened Species on the GBR
- Global Warming and Climate Change
- Reef Management (the role of the GBR Marine Park Authority and tour operators)
- Best Environmental practices
- Ecotourism
- Reef Interpretation (e.g. explaining things to tourists, answering their questions)
